This workshop invites participants to explore the concept of "home" through shared memories and creative expression. The workshop will focus on building a sense of community and collective memory, deepening the meaning of "home" for participants, and creating together to strengthen connection, empathy, and encouragement.
Ozge Sahin, originally from Istanbul, is a visual artist who lives and works in Rome, Italy. Her research is based on the relationship between memory, space and collective experience. Her mediums range from photography to installations, using relational art as a practice of social investigation. She studied Graphics and Photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. In the United States, her works have been exhibited at the Black Mountain College Museum (North Carolina) and the Chicago Photography Center (Illinois). She has participated in several artistic residencies including one at the Zaratan Art Gallery in Lisbon (Portugal), and Lokalen in Lichtenvoorde (Netherlands), Play-Act Project (Art for communities in transition) in Rione Sanita organized by the Department of Architecture - University of Naples Federico II. One of her artistic projects "Collective Memory "was selected by the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome to be exhibited at the Sala Santa Rita Contemporary in Italy. "Collective Memory" was also exhibited at the Škuc Gallery in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and later at the Kula Gallery in Belgrade.
